NOTES:

TAG DAY - JUNE 5 - Make sure your Whites are in order.

RECRUIT TRAINING - If you are attending Recruit Training this year -- YOU MUST COMPLETE YOUR BMR! -- RTC FITG must already be complete. Additionally you must PASS the PFA. MANDATORY SEA BAG INSPECTION will be held this DRILL.

ENROLLMENT FEES - The cost of re-enrollment is $53.00 for both NSCC and NLCC. Cadets picking up ID cards need to turn in their $53.00 reenrollment fee.  If you are coming up on your re-enrollment date, please ensure you coordinate with the your Company Commander or Company Petty Officer before seeing our Administrative Officer in the Admin Office to order your new ID Card and Re-Enroll.

SUMMER ADVANCED TRAINING - Now available. If you do not have it ask your chain of command for a copy. Do not delay or you will miss your opportunity.

AWARDS - If you think you are due an award, a ribbon, or promotion submit a request through the chain of command. Requests will be reviewed and, forwarded up the chain for action. Do not wait for someone else to tell you, you earned something, take the initiative yourself.

ATTENDANCE – Attendance will be reviewed quarterly instead of annually. NSCC Regulations state that you must attend 75% of all scheduled drills. That is nine of twelve drills per quarter. If you do not meet this minimum standard, you will be administratively warned. If you continue to fail to meet minimum attendance standards, you will be discharged from the NSCC/NLCC.

COURSEWORK - All Cadets are required to turn in at least one (1) coursework assignment per month.  A reminder to those Cadets who have successfully completed Recruit Training. Please e-mail the Training Officer (karen@mainstream.net), if you have any questions regarding what course you should be completing or scheduling any tests.

REPORT CARDS – Do not forget to bring in a copy of your report cards for Division Officer Review and possible awards of the Academic Achievement Ribbon. The award of this ribbon has been extended to NLCC Cadet as well.

CADET OF THE QUARTER and CADET OF THE YEAR – We will be submitting Cadets names for Cadet of the Quarter and Cadet of the Year.  These are not positions that are awarded based on popularity but on the quality of your service and participation in the unit.

INCREASE YOUR KNOWLEDGE - Find out everything you wanted to know about the U. S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps on the NSCC Resources Web Site: http://resources.seacadets.org/ or the NSCC Training Web Portal: http://compass.seacadets.org/.
